When the SMT capacitor is found to have one of the following conditions, the SMT capacitor shall be pushed out of operation immediately:

2. Broken insulation terminal or charred surface;

3. Abnormal sound in the chip capacitor;

4. The shell temperature is higher than 65℃, and the temperature plate falls off;

5. The current of patch capacitor decreases obviously.

Safety precautions for handling fault patch capacitors

1. When dealing with the fault SMT capacitor, the capacitor should be withdrawn from operation before the disconnecting switch is opened, otherwise it is easy to cause the disconnecting switch arc and cause damage;

2. Since the capacitor may be electrified after the fault, it is necessary to wait for 3 minutes before contacting the capacitor, and then short-circuit and discharge the capacitor outlet terminal with a wire, and dispose of the capacitor only after confirming that the capacitor has no residual power;

3. After replacing the capacitor, clean up the oil stains left by the old capacitor to facilitate the operation and observation of the new capacitor;

4. The wire fastening place should be tightened properly to avoid damaging the terminals with excessive force or burning the terminals due to bad contact caused by insufficient tightening;

5. When dealing with the fault capacitor, if it cannot be confirmed, consult the technical personnel of the manufacturer or other professionals in a timely manner. Do not deal with it blindly, so as not to cause more trouble.
